The Dental Symposiums on Public Health Priorities provide high-quality continuing professional education, addressing healthcare's most significant public health concerns.

Our mission is to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and tools to address these challenges directly— inside the operatory and across the communities we serve.

This year's symposium focuses on three topics every dental professional in the District should be fluent in: implicit bias and cultural humility in clinical care, child abuse recognition and reporting, and women's oral health across the lifespan.

These aren't abstract subjects. They show up in how you greet a patient, what you notice during an exam, and how you counsel someone through a life stage. Each session is built for application, not just attendance.

4.0 CE credits in 1 Saturday: includes 2.5hrs toward Public Health Priorities requirement & 1.5hrs of LGBTQ Cultural Competency.

  • Session I (1.5 CE) - Cultural Humility as a Foundation for Clinical Success: Addressing Implicit Bias, Antiracism, and Inclusive Care

  • Session II (1 CE) - Recognizing & Reporting Abuse: A Clinical Foundation for Healthcare Professionals

  • Session III (1.5 CE) - Hormones, Health, and the Mouth:  A Life-Course Approach to Women’s Oral Wellness

Breakfast & lunch included!
