Brittany Campbell, MSDH, RDH

Brittany is a respected educator, policy advocate, and dental hygiene leader, shaping the next generation of oral health professionals. As an Assistant Professor in the Division of Periodontics at Howard University College of Dentistry, Campbell is advancing the role of dental hygienists in academic and clinical settings. She redesigned the university’s infection control curriculum to integrate ergonomics and evidence-based prevention strategies—ensuring dental students understand the foundational role of dental hygiene in patient-centered care.

Campbell serves on the District of Columbia Board of Dentistry, where she represents dental hygienists and contributes to regulatory decisions that impact the profession and public safety. A published scholar with research featured in peer-reviewed journals, she brings a strong academic voice to the conversation around clinical standards, safety, and equity in dentistry.
